Isaac Brewer (1763-1852), son of Howell Brewer Jr, is known to have fought in the Oconee Indians Wars in Georgia in the 1790's. I will post documentation at a later date but, for now, I will just say that he ranged about among his relatives in the Chatham County, North Carolina for a few years following the Revolutionary War. After that he moved to the frontier of Georgia. The Oconee River was then the boundary between the settlers and Indian lands.
He soon found it necessary to help patrol and protect the area from Indian troubles, and was also an Indian Spy for two years during this time. In one skirmish he was stabbed in the left hand and left thigh, and would have been overtaken if another man in his party had not come to his rescue. This information is all online in his Revolutionary War pension application file.
